HANDYMAN LEVEL 3
Directorate: Facility Management
Package: R 122,595.00 per annum (plus benefits)
ABET L4 or equivalent qualification. Experience required 0 to 6 months. Must at least be semiskilled with other trades of plumbing, electrical, bricklaying and carpentry or mechanical. Willing to do all other trades and be keen to learn. Must be physical healthy. Good communication- and interpersonal relationship skills. Must be able to work independently.
Conduct regular building inspections and report defects. Attend to minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry problems. Maintenance of office equipment and furniture. Report defects. Safekeeping of maintenance tools and supplies. Ensure that all work done complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and that all departmental standards and specifications are observed. Safety awareness with use of all equipment on all tasks. Fitting of globes and fixing of plugs, unblocking of toilets, basins and drains. Fit and fix doors and locks. Render support to the general maintenance plan of the hospital and any other work related to the maintenance of the hospital.
