Nquthu Local Municipality (KZ 242) invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:
Position : Information Technology Officer (Re-advertisement)
Salary : Task Grade 10 of the category 1 Municipality, plus Benefits such as Medical Aid, Pension Fund and 13th Cheque
Type of Contract : Permanent
Place of Work : Council Chambers
National Diploma/ Degree: Information Technology and/ or related fields.
3 year experience in Information Technology
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Key performance areas
Coordinates specific sequences associated troubleshooting and problem solving application problems and installs new software and/or hardware.
Provides support associated with the capability of application software, peripheral devices, connectivity and/or functionality of operating software and hardware devices.
Analyses and provides recommendations pertaining to the information systems hardware/software and/or capacitates end-user on specific applications.
Maintaining or repairing equipment.
Log calls and verify system is up-to-date.
Verifying system and data backup integrity on a regular basis.
Configuration of LAN and wan networks / setting up ADSL router modems.
Performs specific administrative activities associated with the functionality.
