JOB PROFILE 

JOB TITLE: Intern: ICT Service Desk 
DURATION: Twelve (12) Months Contract 
REPORTING TO: Provincial Manager: Western Cape 
JOB GRADE: Stipend per Month – R4 000
NO. OF INCUMBENTS: 1 
DIVISION: Enterprise Development Division 
LOCATION: Western Cape

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the internship programme is to provide appropriate and relevant work experience which is in line with the intern’s qualification. 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
 Define incident and service request classification schemes
 Record, classify and prioritise requests and incidents
 Verify, approve and fulfil service request
 Investigate, diagnose and allocate incidents
 Resolve and recover from incidents
 Close service requests and incidents
 Track status and produce reports
 First Line support 
 
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION
 Matric (NQF level 4) and a three year tertiary qualification (NQF level 6) in Information Technology or Computer Science or Information Systems (NQF Level 6)

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
 Not applicable – work experience exposure programme
