POST: DEPUTY MANAGER: FINANCE (ASSISTANT DIRECTOR LEVEL 9): PERMANENT 
SALARY: R376 596 PER ANNUM

REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification majoring in Financial Management / Accounting. Five years relevant working experience in Finance of which two years must be on supervisory level. (Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles with an Audit firm or SAICA registered company would be an added advantage – proof should be attached). An understanding of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (PFMA), Generally Recognised Accounting Principles (GRAP), Supply Chain Management, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework and Treasury Regulations; Knowledge of Pastel and experience in preparing financial statements. Knowledge Working knowledge and experience in AFS preparation in Case ware would be an added advantage .Skills and attributesCommunication and interpersonal, Conceptual, analytical, presentation, report writing, leadership, computer literacy, problem solving and negotiation skills. 
 

DUTIES: Monitor and report on expenditure and income as well as financial performance in accordance with the PFMA and treasury Regulations; Manage debtors and creditors payments function by ensuring that all transactions are supported by authentic and verifiable source documents; Investigate and clear suspense account; Perform month end closure and compilation of monthly, quarterly reports and annual financial statements for Management and Council; assist with the preparation of the Budget, Initiate monthly accrual journals; Asset management; Supply Chain Management and Contract management; Manage the staff and resources within the unit; Strengthen internal controls on financial management; Assist in preparation of Annual Financial Statements. Prepare the audit file for auditors and assist with resolving of audit queries. 





POST : EDUCATION SPECIALIST (SENIOR LECTURER) PL2: ENGINEERING AND RELATED DESIGN (NATED AND NCV) PERMANENT X 2 POSTS 
SALARY : R348 747 PER ANNUM

CENTRE : GIYANI CAMPUS (REF NO: LET 23/10/2020) RE – ADVERT REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering coupled with a professional qualification in education. Three years lecturing/teaching experience. Knowledge of national examination and assessment policies. A thorough understanding of outcome-based assessment and development of guideline to support teaching and learning. Good communication, interpersonal, planning, problem solving, negotiating and organizing skills. Must be computer literate and have a valid driver’s license. Registration with SACE is compulsory. Assessor and Moderator certificates will be an added advantage. 
 
DUTIES: Coordinate students, lecturers and administrative processes within the Engineering 
Section. Ensure implementation of the Campus curriculum as required by legislation. Ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources. Coordinate teaching and learning. Coordinate all academic activities within the section including the management of time tables, attendance, staff allocation and ordering of textbooks, monitoring and evaluation of curriculum delivery. Provide professional support to lecturing staff and students. Keep the management abreast of all aspects of academic services and administration in the section. Prepare and manage plans and report on all activities in the section. Manage and supervise assessment and examination processes in the section including timeous marking of script, development of question papers, and preparation of all ISAT and ICASS activities including the verification of marks. POST: SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICER: STUDENT REGISTRATIONS – PERMANENT 
SALARY: R316 791 PER ANNUM (SL 8)

CENTRE: CENTRAL OFFICE 
 
REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate Bachelor Degree or Diploma Public Administration or Information Technology or equivalent qualification at REQV13. A professional qualification in Education will be an added advantage. At least five years’ experience in TVET students’ registration services and/or TVET management information system of which at least 2 years at supervisory level in a relevant field. An understanding of transformation issues and capacity building processes in the TVET sector. A sound understanding in implementing and managing student registration services and TVET management information system. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Sound understanding of prescripts governing the TVET sector this include but not limited to CET Act, Registration Manual, Admission policy, National Policies on the Conduct of Administration, ICASS and ISAT policies etc. Advanced Computer Literacy. Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills. A valid driver’s license. Valid SACE certificate. 
 
DUTIES: Provide Support to registration officials and users. Ensure that functioning of the Student Registration system is maintained and monitored. Provide terminal access to users that need access to the student registration system. Ensure student registration system upgrade is done. Ensure access control and access rights are implemented in the student registration system. Ensure all registration setups are installed, coordinated, maintained and monitored. Monitor and implement enrolment deadline dates for the submission of enrolments and marks. Perform exam procedures. Liaise with DHET exam section. Ensure that ICASS and ISAT weight values are setup and final marks calculated correctly. Submit ICASS and ISAT marks. Import exam results; student enrolment and result queries. Ensure that backups are made on the registration system; Develop, manage and implement student registration services, Provide advice and guidance on the enrolment of students. Validate the reliability of registration documentation. Perform Management Information systems with reference to registration and examination. Provide support to campuses in the printing of attendance registers and student cards. Validate, correct and submit TVETMIS registration data on time as per DHET schedule. Provide high level reporting and statistical data analysis on registration and examination. Ensure that systems are in place to comply with DHET enrolment and data standards and procedures. Liaise with registration service providers and arrange for training when needed. Monitor and/or communicate with students through Short Message System (SMS). Capture online quarterly reports and submit it as per DHET schedules. Import and update NSFAS student credits. 

POST: LECTURER (PL1): OFFICE ADMINISTRATION – PERMANENT 
SALARY: R211 731 PER ANNUM (PL1)

REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate National Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree. Relevant working experience in education/Training sector or industry will be added advantage. Knowledge of theory and practice in the relevant field. Sound communication skills. Computer literacy is highly recommended. 

DUTIES: The successful candidate(s) will be required to lecture NCV and report 191. Management of students and administration of records. Classroom facilitation. Ensure provisioning of quality education and training in line with the College/DHET requirements. Assess students’ performance. Liaise with students, parents and other relevant stakeholders. Support student development and performance. Monitor the students in the workplace. Report to management from time to time. 

POST: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (SL7): ASSET MANAGEMENT – PERMANENT 
SALARY: R257 508 PER ANNUM

REQUIREMENTS: National Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Financial Management/Accounting. A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in Asset Management. Computer literacy qualification is essential. Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications. A successful candidate must have proven knowledge of GRAP, Public Finance Management Act, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, and SCM Guide for Accounting Officer/Authorities, Broad Base Black Economic Empowerment and SCM Practices. Experience in the TVET Sector and knowledge of pastel will be added advantages. Must be computer literate and have a valid driver’s license. 

DUTIES: Perform or develop asset needs assessments, acquisition management, operational and disposal plans. Receive and barcode assets. Update the asset register with additions. Prepare a monthly reconciliation with supporting documents of the asset registers to the relevant accounting records and resolve uncleared items. Plan and execute the asset verification, stock counts, investigate, and report on variances, make necessary recommendations to resolve discrepancies, and update the asset and inventory registers. Execute the implementation of the asset acquisition, maintenance, and disposal plans. 





POST: PROVISIONING ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK (SL5) PERMANENT 
SALARY: R173 703 PER ANNUM

REQUIREMENTS: A Senior Certificate with a minimum of one-year experience in Supply Chain and Asset Management. A successful candidate must have proven knowledge of assets and inventory management; Supply Chain Management, Public Finance Management Act, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, SCM Guide for Accounting Officer/Authorities, Broad Base Black Economic Empowerment and SCM Practices. Experience in the TVET Sector will be an added advantage. Must be computer literate and have a valid driver’s license. 

DUTIES: Receive requirements for goods / services from user departments and log them on a register. Requisition for goods and stationary. Receive and barcode assets. Request quotations for valid, accurate and complete requisitions. Safeguard and monitor movements of assets and inventory items. Update the campus assets and stock registers. Participate in the annual Stock count and Asset verification. Implement SCM Policies and other outstanding invoices. Issuing Textbooks to students and assets to the end users. 





POST: ADMINISTRATION CLERK: GENERAL 
SALARY: R173 703.00 PER ANNUM (LEVEL 5)

REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 Certificate or NCV level 4 certificate in Office Administration. One-year relevant working experience as administration clerk. Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills. Client focus and innovative thinking. Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision. Adhere to Batho Pele principles. Telephone etiquette. 

DUTIES: Render general administrative support services to Maake Campus Management and staff which include but not limited to typing of documents, electronic and manual filling, data capturing, responsible for reception, making and receiving calls/faxes, providing clerical support and performing reasonable task allocations. 






POST: GROUNDSMAN (SL2) PERMANENT 
SALARY: R102 534 PER ANNUM

CENTRE: MAAKE CAMPUS 

REQUIREMENTS: A Grade 10 or equivalent qualification. Applicants should be committed, hardworking and must be able to work long hours and under pressure. Applicants must have good interpersonal relations and verbal communication skills. Must be able to speak at least English language and have a valid driver’s license. 

DUTIES: Maintenance and cleaning of premises and surroundings. Empty refuse/waste bins. Watering the plants. Pruning and trimming plants (flowers) and trees. Mowing the grass and removing weeds and garden refuse. Apply insecticides. Cultivate the soil for plants. Taking care of garden equipments and tools. Report faulty gardening equipments and machineries. Repair minor defects of gardening equipments and tools. 




POST: CLEANER – PERMANENT 
SALARY: R102 534 PER ANNUM (SL2)

CENTRE: GIYANI CAMPUS 
REQUIREMENTS: A Grade 10 or equivalent qualification. Applicants should be committed, hardworking and must be able to work long hours and under pressure. Applicants must have good interpersonal relations and verbal communication skills. Be able to speak at least English language. 

DUTIES: Maintaining the cleanliness of the buildings by performing various cleaning duties which includes but not limited to dusting and waxing office furnitures; sweeping, scrubbing and waxing of floors, vacuuming and shampooing floors; cleaning walls, windows and doors; collecting and removing of waste papers; freshen the office areas, clean the college kitchen and basins; wash and pack kitchen utensils. Empty and wash waste bins and send recyclables to disposal area.
